Orient Overseas Developments Limited ("OODL"), a wholly owned subsidiary of Orient Overseas (International) Limited ("OOIL"), is the primary vehicle property for property development and investment of the group.

The current property portfolio is divided into two areas. Property investment consists of long-term investment projects in New York and Beijing. Property development consists of projects primarily in Shanghai, where OODL engages in the sourcing, planning, building and selling of commercial and residential properties.

The total assets under OODL's property portfolio amounted to US$504 million as of December 31, 2005. It is the policy of OOIL to limit its property investment to no more than 25 percent of its total assets.
